Now here is a bittersweet bit of news for those Windows Phone 7 owners out there – it seems that the software giant from Redmond, Washington, did confirm that Windows Phone 7 will have built-in NFC support, but the decision still lies in the hands of handset manufacturers to activate the presence of NFC within. Though NFC is supported by [Windows Phone], but needs to be enabled by the OEM. So, if any OEM wants to enable it, that can be done by all means, says Will Coleman, developer evangelist and product manager at Microsoft UK. I guess up till now, no Windows Phone device comes with NFC support right out of the box that has been activated, which means the OEM isn`t too interested in ushering in a new age of NFC.
