
LG'S first quad core Smartphone, Optimus 4X HD was unveiled during the Mobile World Congress in February this year, will be launched in India by the second week of July. According to the latest reports LG Optimus 4X HD is already available in select European countries and now will be launched in India by mid July. This new user experience (UX), Optimus UI 3.0 also includes QuickMemoTM. QuickMemoTM permit users to instantly jot memos or notes from any screen, without having to open a separate application.

This Optimus 4X HD will be the first quad core phone from LG and will compete directly with HTC One X and Huawei Ascend D Quad which are also powered by quad core processors. Another feature has been added named as Media PlexTM, which combines a range of functions such as Fingertip Seek and Live Zooming to enhance image and video playback. It also includes Time Catch Shot, which allows the user to select and save the best shot among the images taken just before the shutter button is depressed. Till now no price has been revealed but it is expected to be around Rs 34, 000.
