
IT Peripherals Company which sells mobile phones under Mercury brand name, Kobian has launched new device with dual SIM slot and a 5 inch screen. The device named as Mercury magiQ, though look like a Smartphone, is being referred as a tablet.

As stated by country manager India Kobian, "Mercury magiQ tablet is a tab-cum-smart phone designed to meet and satisfy current user needs. It has all the latest features and an attractive slim and stylish look to complete the package with dual SIM being the cherry on the top."
Mercury magiQ is priced at Rs 12,700 with 1 year warranty.
The phone will compete with Micromax A100 and Horizon Mi500 which are priced at Rs 9,999 and Rs 12,500 respectively. Mercury MagiQ is better than these two but both Micromax and Spice have better brand recall in the mobile domain and therefore it will be a challenge for Kobian. Both the Spice and Micromax are yet to be made available in the market.
