When Apple finally launched the iPhone 4 last week experts predicted extremely high sales, they were not wrong as Steve Jobs has recently revealed that the three day sales figures set a new record for Apple.

In these three days Apple sold a staggering 1.7 million iPhone 4 smartphones, this makes it Apple’s most successful product launch ever. Apple have also stated that first-day sales were ‘off the charts’, if supplies

could have kept up with demand this number could have been much higher.

Apple have not provided a breakdown of the sales, however we reckon that they shifted close to 1 million units on its launch day, which is what the iPhone 3GS managed in its opening weekend.
