Nokia called @InstagramWP Twitter as a fake account. Ironically, Nokia was following the site that many thought could have been genuine. The tweet sent out from the fake account read "Good things come to those that wait! :)" which was a message alluding to the long wait that Windows Phone owners have endured waiting for an official Instagram app. As per Nokia's head of Media Relations, an auto-follow rule on Tweetsender led it to appear as though the Finnish company was following tweets from the @InstagramWP account and also giving it a lot of credibility.  It was told on Wednesday that the tweet was not genuine for a number of reasons. Meanwhile, one of the better third party Instagram apps for Windows Phone, Itsdagram, might soon return to the Windows Phone Store after its developers quickly pulled it on Monday to work on some missing features. The app offers everything the real Instagram does, except for the filters.

There is a significant software update coming for Nokia Lumia 920 users. Lumia Amber, the new software will bring both minor and major improvements including new camera features and FM radio support. Nokia will include the Smart Camera application with all its fancy shooting modes and effects as a part of the Lumia Amber update. Some of them are the Best Shot, Action Shot, and Motion Blur features. Also, we're expecting to see support for ISO speeds of up to 3200, at least on some Lumia Smartphone’s with better color reproduction and less noise achieved through software optimization. The new update also brings faster burst shots. The Lumia Amber software update is scheduled to launch in 3rd quarter of 2013, bringing all these goodies to everyone holding on to a Nokia Lumia running Windows Phone 8.

Bharti Airtel will provide a special bundled offer for Nokia Asha 501 in India. The operator would enable users to enjoy unlimited, data-free access to Facebook for a limited period of time from Nokia Asha 501.

Nokia, Finnish Mobile Device Manufacturer, has joined hands with Yahoo messenger to launch Nokia Chat messenger for Nokia range of devices. This cross platform chat client would give competition to the other messaging clients like Whatsapp and Nimbuzz.

The tie up will also allow Yahoo! Messenger users on other mobile devices and platforms to access Nokia Chat friends who use Lumia, Asha, S40, and Symbian devices.

This Nokia chat app is available for Nokia devices based on Windows platform, Symbian platform and even the S40 or Asha platform. The application & service is in Beta phase and Nokia Chat for Windows Phone is available in Argentina, Australia, Canada, Chile, Colombia, 

Finland, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Nigeria, Peru, South Africa, Spain, United Kingdom, United States, and Venezuela.

Along with the regular features that include messaging, file sharing and even location sharing powered with Nokia here maps, Nokia Lumia devices running Windows Phone 8 get additional bunch of features including Speech to text, Voice Commands and Lock Screen Notifications. The service is accessible through Nokia Beta program.

Nokia might release a Smartphone with 16-element camera lens by Pelican Imaging. Pelican Imaging claimed that the company is in talks with at least one manufacturer to bring their latest module in a Smartphone by 2014.The Pelican camera features 16 lenses, snaps images when the shutter is pressed and captures depth information at every pixel. The technology enables the photographer to change the focus point of the image even after the shot is captured. Also user can change the image backgrounds, scale any part of the image, and combine elements from multiple images into a new picture.
