Panasonic has unveiled its first Android Smartphone in India and has entered into the overcrowded Smartphone section in the country. Panasonic P51 features a 5-inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and a 1.2 GHz quad-core MediaTek processor with 1 GB RAM.  Also, it features an 8 megapixel rear camera with the ability to shoot 1080p videos, 1.3 megapixel front camera and 4 GB of internal memory which can be extended through microSD card slot. The device measures 144 x 75 x 8.5mm and weighs 135g. This phone runs on the latest Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and the juice for Smartphone is provided by a 2,500mAh battery. Panasonic P51 costs INR 26,900 (about $517) and the retail package incorporates a magnetic flip cover and a stylus. Starting from next week, the Smartphone will be up for grabs.

After a long wait, Nexus 4 has finally landed in India through official channels. However, this initiative has been taken by LG not Google. The Nexus 4 is available from LG exclusive brand shops, multi brand outlets and speciality stores. In India, LG is selling only 16 GB variant of the device. LG is available at Rs 25,999 ($475) in India. As compared to the cost of US, this phone is costlier in India because of LG who is selling the device and not Google. In US, Google can afford to sell the phone at lesser price as they can make up for it in content sales from their Play Store which LG cannot. So for the profits, they have to rely on the hardware sales. In comparison to the Nexus 4, the LG Optimus G is same. But in terms of hardware they sell it at Rs 32,990 ($603). The reality is that LG is selling the Nexus 4 for considerably less despite the similarities is actually quite commendable.

Micromax, an Indian manufacturer has unveiled its first 3D Smartphone known as Micromax Canvas 3D A115  to add a new handset in the Canvas range. This Smartphone features 5 inch full touch 3D display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. It is powered by 1 GHz dual core MediaTek MT65771 processor with 1 GB of RAM. Being a true 3D phone, Micromax Canvas 3D A115 do not require 3D glasses to view its content.  This Smartphone is packed with 2,000 mAh battery and is rated at a talk time of up to 4.5 hours. The phone also features 5-megapixel rear camera with auto focus and a VGA front camera for video chatting. As per company’s claim, the phone also has software that can convert the regular pictures into the 3D picture format. The connectivity options on Micromax A115 Canvas 3D include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, 3G and USB. 

The phone comes with 'Micromax 3D Space' pre-installed that provides access to 3D videos, and pre-loaded 3D games. This Smartphone will be available across all leading retail outlets in India as well as Micromax's official website by the first week of May, 2013. It is priced at Rs 9,999.

Spice Mobility has declared the Jelly Bean update for its Stellar Pinnacle Mi-530 Android Smartphone. User has to visit the Spice Stellar website and follow the steps mentioned there in order to update the Smartphone from Android Ice Cream Sandwich Users tried to upgrade Spice Stellar Pinnacle Mi-530 through the process mentioned but were not able to complete it. The issue was raised with technical team of Spice and they guaranteed that problem will be resolved as soon as possible. According to Spice,” There could be a minor issue with our device and other devices might not encounter any problem during the update process.”
