Similar to the feature for Android users that let images and videos to be backed up to their Google account, Microsoft offers full-resolution image and video backup to SkyDrive for Windows Phone 8 users. The variation is that till now this was not available in all Windows Phone 8 users. Initially, Microsoft has declared that for all Windows Phone 8 users it will make the full resolution backup of photos and videos through SkyDrive.  Users who hadn't had access to the backup earlier have already started noticing it on their phone.

Microsoft is telling Windows Phone 8 users to be patient with the company and stated, “This will be a universal feature. The backup capability should be available to all users by this weekend. And while it might already be working for your phone, you will have to enable it by going into the menu of your device. Go to Photos>More> Settings>SkyDrive. “

Those who are having the backup capacity will observe a new look for SkyDrive with a "Best Quality" option for both photos and videos. If user wants to have a full resolution backup of both pictures and video they have to click on the box for "Best Quality" for both image and video. To keep the phone bill down, user needs Wi-Fi for full-resolution backup.

Samsung, no 1 Smartphone maker in the world has showcased a display, which is so flexible that can be bent, rolled or even folded.
Yesterday, this new display codenamed as Youm , was shown  at the on-going Consumer Electronics Show 2013 in Las Vegas, USA. A prototype device based on Windows Phone 8 mobile operating system and the display has also been showcased.  As per the Samsung, "Youm offers better color output and contrast than other displays in a super thin form factor. It is based on Organic Light Emitting Diode technology".

A Windows 8 tablet from Hewlett Packard is in the making and it is likely to hit the market within a month.As stated by the president of printing and personal systems, HP India, "HP will be launching a 10 inch Windows 8 based tablet in January next year".
Yet he didn't disclosed the price of the tablet but as per him it will be a mid-range device, and for HP a mid-range device is something between Rs 15,000-Rs 25,0000. According to a commercial unveiled by the company, "PC major HP had readied its Windows 8 tablet ElitePad 900 way back in July".
This new tablet was shown having aluminium like back with a black strip indicating the antenna in the advertisement. This new tablet is expected to arrive with Intel Atom processor, 1280 x 800 pixel Gorilla Glass-coated display and 2 GB of onboard memory.

After being declared about a month and a half back, now HTC 8S has been finally made available online. The phone is available for Rs 19,359 and it appears only at Saholic.com for the time being. Windows Phone 8 devices users wondered about the absence of the WhatsApp app for instant messaging. The application developers are now quietly planning to unveil the same for the Windows Phone 8, most likely as soon as next week. As per the Nokia Care representative, "This updated version of WhatsApp will be available by this week end".
WhatsApp is the most famous cross-platform instant messaging client. With the help of this app, users can easily share their files, location, and can even do group chat. The buyers of the Nokia Lumia 920 were shocked to see the absence of WhatsApp's from the Windows Phone Store.  Viral messages about WhatsApp going paid were being spread around by the naysayers.
Seemingly, the WhatsApp developers will unveil Windows Phone 8 version of the WhatsApps since the actual one is not compatible with the new devices. The early adopters of Windows Phone 8 based devices won’t have to wait long for the app as it is expected to go live by this week end.
While HTC has made the Windows Phone 8X available in India, people here are still waiting for the Windows Phone 8 running Lumia devices from Nokia.
