Nokia has now disclosed that it will uneil the Windows Phone 7.8 upgrade for its Smartphone’s including Lumia 710, 610, 510 and the Nokia Lumia 800 in the next couple of days.
Nokia Italy tweeted, "Hello @ Bess_91, update # WP 7.8, will be released in a few days. Continue to follow ". This Windows Phone 7.8 upgrade is expected to bring better user interface like that of Windows Phone 8. Likewise, it will bring new start screen, calendar sharing feature through a function named as Club and access to key services & content of Microsoft adding Xbox Music Store library that can be enjoyed by Zune and Xbox SmartGlass.
Till now Nokia has not disclosed any information about the release of the Windows Phone 7.8 upgrade in India.

According to the latest reports, “The Windows Phone 7.8 operating system update will bring a host of features including Xbox SmartGlass, Xbox Music and People Hub 'Rooms”.
In coming few days, Windows Phone 7.8 is planning to release Windows Phone 7.5 and the 7.0 operating system based devices like the Nokia Lumia 800, 710 and the Samsung Omnia. Till now Microsoft has not revealed any information about the update's features.
But Microsoft's officials have allegedly disclosed Windows 7.8's features on the Italian Facebook page of the company. These officials responded to a user's query but now post has been removed. The screenshot of the post has been taken by website which, when translated to English, stated, "The upgrade to 7.8 will be available for versions 7.0 and 7.5 shortly after the marketing of the devices Windows Phone 8. Among the features there is the new Start screen , the sharing of the calendar using the function Club and access to key services and content Microsoft, including Xbox Music Store library that can be enjoyed by Zune and Xbox SmartGlass."

According to the latest reports, Nokia City Lens augmented reality app is available free of cost for existing Nokia Lumia 800 and Lumia 710 smartphones. Recently this app was unveiled along with the new Lumia 820 and 920 handsets. Similar to other augmented reality apps, the Nokia City Lens also takes the help of the device's camera and then covers information about that place available online.
Nokia explained on its website that the app provides augmented reality to provide on-screen information about the handset's surroundings. The app then provides information about each building or landmark in the area giving the user an at-a-glance understanding of what restaurants, museums, shops and others places of interest are nearby.
In the Lumia 920 and 820, this new app is better synchronized with the hardware of the phone. The existing Lumia phones which do not have Pureview technology but do have a decent camera will also get the benefit from this tech. Although this app is going to be better, thanks to Nokia's better understanding of its own hardware.

Microsoft announced Windows Phone 8 last week a created quite a buzz among Windows Phone users. While there were some happy faces, current Windows Phone users were a little disappointed as Microsoft confirmed that all of the current Windows Phone handsets will not be upgraded to Windows Phone 8.
But then we saw Microsoft announcing Windows Phone 7.8 which will be the answer to some of the current Windows Phone users as some of the high end smartphones running Windows Phone 7.5 will be upgradable to Windows Phone 7.8. So just to warm you up, Microsoft has put up a page giving us some info as to how the new platform will look like.  There is also a short video which shows how the UI of WP 7.8 will look like on a Lumia 900.
