Nokia is all set to make the non 4G version of its flagship Windows Phone device, the Lumia 900, available in India along with several other countries that presently do not have 4G networks. The Dual Cell [HSPA+">HSPA] high speed packet access version of the Lumia 900 will work on existing 3G networks and will provide better download speeds compared to 3G smartphones. Nokia had unveiled its new flagship Windows Phone 7.5 smartphone, Lumia 900, during the Mobile World Congress 2012 that happened in Barcelona (Spain) earlier this year.

Lumia 900 is the first LTE network supporting Windows Phone device from Nokia. The smartphone has a 4.3 inch Clear Black Amoled display with WVGA 800 x 480 pixel resolution. It is powered with a single core 1.4 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon APQ8055+MDM9200 mobile chipset coupled with 512 MB RAM and 16 GB on-board memory. It also features an 8 megapixel camera with LED flash and f/2.2 aperture. This camera can easily record 720p HD video at 30 frames per second. There's also a secondary camera in the front for video chat which has been missing from both the Lumia 800 and the 710 as well. Nokia Lumia 900 is expected to be made available in the Indian market for around 480 Euros or Rs 31,675 approximately but the final price will only be disclosed once the product is made available officially.

Nokia 603 is now available for purchase in India from online retailer LetsBuy in India. Nokia announced this Symbian Belle smartphone this October. This penta band device comes with 3.5-inch (360x640 Pixels) TFT Clear Black Display panel and is powered by a 1Ghz processor. It also comes with 5 MP full focus camera with 720p HD video recording at 30 fps. It is 12.7mm thick and weighs 109.6g and comes with  interchangeable  covers.

Other features include, 512 MB RAM, micro SD Upto 32GB, Bluetooth 3.0, WiFi 802.11b/g/n, NFC Support and 1300 mAh battery. The Nokia 603 is available for Rs. 14,285 from LetsBuy in India.

In addition to the ETA for the Symbian Belle update, Nokia announced on Wednesday that the operating system would be renamed to Nokia Belle.  Nokia has kindly took the time to write up a blog post that somewhat addresses the name change. Here`s what Nokia had to say:

“We are still using Symbian Belle with some audiences like developers but now we also have the flexibility of using Nokia Belle when referring to our greatest and latest Symbian software update. We are really looking forward to making Belle available to people as it will truly bring a new experience to everybody.”

It still doesn`t explain why Nokia changed the well-known Symbian name. Nokia wants all their users and devices to have the same unified Nokia experience. Nokia also updated the list of phones that will be getting Nokia Belle. The full list now consists of: the Nokia 500, Nokia N8, Nokia E7, Nokia E6, Nokia X7, Nokia C6-01,Nokia C7, and Nokia Oro.

A new Symbian Belle release has been leaked for the Nokia N8. We've seen earlier releases for the handset and yet again we see a newer version leaked on the web.

This version, 111.030.0609, has the same as update version which was officially out recently for the Nokia 603, 700 and 701. The new update seems to bring performance updates and some new widgets including a large analogue clock, quick flip silent and cellular data widgets, weather widgets, and more.

Yes you read it right. We all have been waiting for that one update called 'Symbian Belle' from Nokia for S^3 and Symbian Anna running devices, but Nokia seems to be in no mood to release the update before 2012.

In a reply to a query of a Nokia user, Nokia UK has replied that Symbian Belle will be out in early 2012. It was in October when we heard from various sources that Nokia will roll out the update for all S^3 devices on the October 23rd, but of no good. And now this tweet pushes the date to somewhere in January 2012.
