Micromax Canvas 3D A115 launched

Micromax, an Indian manufacturer has unveiled its first 3D Smartphone known as Micromax Canvas 3D A115  to add a new handset in the Canvas range. This Smartphone features 5 inch full touch 3D display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. It is powered by 1 GHz dual core MediaTek MT65771 processor with 1 GB of RAM. Being a true 3D phone, Micromax Canvas 3D A115 do not require 3D glasses to view its content.  This Smartphone is packed with 2,000 mAh battery and is rated at a talk time of up to 4.5 hours. The phone also features 5-megapixel rear camera with auto focus and a VGA front camera for video chatting. As per company’s claim, the phone also has software that can convert the regular pictures into the 3D picture format. The connectivity options on Micromax A115 Canvas 3D include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, 3G and USB. 

The phone comes with 'Micromax 3D Space' pre-installed that provides access to 3D videos, and pre-loaded 3D games. This Smartphone will be available across all leading retail outlets in India as well as Micromax's official website by the first week of May, 2013. It is priced at Rs 9,999.

Micromax launches new 5.2 inch smartphone

Micromax has unveiled new Smartphone called as Micromax A101. This phone has 5.2 inch screen which has the largest screen size in an Android phone from an Indian manufacturer. The phone is available for Rs 9,999 on Homeshop18. As per Micromax spokesperson, “This was an exclusive launch for Homeshop18.com and will not be available in the open market."

There is some mystification about the screen size of the Micromax A101. Homeshop18 cited that it has a 5.2 inch screen but the online retailer stated that the phone has a 12 cms display which means it has a 5 inch display. A101 looks similar to Canvas A110 except for the camera which is an 8 megapixel unit in A110 as against 5 megapixel in this one. Even the Micromax is offering 1 year warranty on this phone.
