Lava in its Iris range of Smartphone’s, unveiled two new phones, called Iris 405 and Iris 455. Both the phones are operated on latest Android Jelly Bean operating system, support over the air upgrade and are 3G enabled.

These two phones are powered by a 1 GHz dual core processor and are having 4 GB internal storage which can be expanded using micro SD cards. The Iris 455 has a 4.5 inch display with 960 x 540 pixels (qHD) resolution while the Iris 405 comes with a 4 inch display with 800 x 480 pixels resolution. 

Both the Lava Iris 405 and Iris 455 come with 5 megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash and a front VGA camera.  In Iris 455, the camera has face detection, panorama and HDR mode. Whereas, Iris 405 comes with 8X digital zoom, image stabilization and zero shutters lag camera features.

Both handsets have connectivity features like WiFi and Bluetooth. Lava Iris 405 costs Rs 7,499 and the Iris 455 costs at Rs 8,699.

Lava is going to unveil its Android 4.0 based tablet called E-Tab Z7H. As stated by co founder and director of Lava International "Lava has tied up with Flipkart and Tata Croma for the retail sales of the tablet". Till now no other details have been revealed but in next three days people will get all the information about the device.

The tablet seems to be very basic with average processor speed and a small battery. Lava is yet to make the tablet official and therefore we do not know if there is any other extraordinary feature in the tablet that will make a distinction from the other tablets in the market. The tablet is already listed on Flipkart but the price has not been revealed. We expect it to cost less than Rs 6,000 (probably Rs 5,500) if there is no special feature present in the tablet.

Lava, India based handset manufacture, is going to unveil two more handsets with Intel Atom processor under Xolo series. Earlier the company launched the first Intel Atom processor based Xolo 900 Smartphone. It has been reported that in coming months they will be adding one entry level Android phone that will be around Rs 10,000 and a mid-range smartphone that will be in price range of Rs 15,000.

Xolo 900 Smartphone will be available in the market from April 23 featuring Android 2.3 operating system which will be soon updated with Android 4.0 which is also called as Ice Cream Sandwich.It is priced at Rs 22,000 and will be available at Chroma outlet and other retail stores by second week of May. It has been reported that quad core processor used in this phone is rated on par which is used in Galaxy Nexus and iPhone 4S. When used on 3G network will give five hours of talk time while on 2G it will offer 8 hours

Lava, Indian brand is going to launch Android-based Smartphone called Xolo X900 in coming week with price range of Rs 13000. This is the first Smartphone which is powered by Intel's Atom chipset (Medfield) in India. It features the Single core 1.6 GHz Intel Atom Z2460 mobile processor with Intel Hyper-Threading technology giving faster performance with minimal possible compromise on battery life. It will also support the modern 3D graphics and high quality video playback which has Integrated Graphics Media Accelerator. The camera of his Smartphone can capture 10 pictures within a second.

It seems that low–cost Android tablets will be the next-in thing in the coming months. After Aakash, many other Indian manufacturers are now planning to launch their own tablets. And one of them is Lava Mobiles, which enjoys a nice share in Indian mobile market. Speaking on the plans of launching the tablet, Mr. S N Rai said, "Lava will launch an Android 2.3 based tablet in February for Rs 5,500. The tablet will be made available bundled with a service provider's connection and will not be available as a standalone device."

Not much detail on the specs of the device was revealed by Mr. Rai but he said that the tablet will be powered by a 1GHz processor and have a 7 inch capacitive touchscreen. The tablet will have a SIM card slot so that users will have an easy access to data services by the service provider with whom the tablet will be bundled at the time of launch. The specs of this Lava tablet are comparatively much better than the Ubislate 7, and thus may sell as hot cakes if prices and marketed aggressively with great product quality.
