Samsung Galaxy SIII gets Jellybean update in India

According to the latest reports, "Samsung has started sending out Android 4.1 Jellybean update to Galaxy SIII users in India too. This update was made available towards the end of October in European markets".
Users can download this update from over-the-air (OTA) and through Samsung's Kies software.  To check the update, users can go to settings and the go to 'About Phone'. 291 MB is the size of the update.
The Jelly Bean update is to carry an improved and more responsive user interface along with Android's very own incorporated voice recognition engine. It is not the end along with that there will be a brand new notifications bar, two home screen modes, and a reorganized settings menu for easily working the complex settings.
Additionally, there is a gesture mode which permits navigation through the OS with touch and swipe gestures and speech there is also a TalkBack, it is a screen reader for Android and it basically works on gestures.
This new Android browser will also offer improved performance, along with enhanced CPU and memory efficiency post the update. The Jelly Bean will also bring a better camera app which permits reviewing images without leaving camera app, with better HTML5 support. This comes up with new keypad and support more than 20 languages.
The Android 4.1 update will also carry changes in Notifications with clubbing of notifications from same app along with options such as pinch and expand or collapse actions.

Samsung starts rolling out Jelly Bean for Galaxy SIII

Samsung has started rolling out the Android Jelly Bean update for its flagship Galaxy SIII Smartphone. According to the latest reports, UK based Galaxy SIII user have received the upgrade on his unlocked device.
The Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean update will bring major performance improvements and under the hood tweaks for the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich based Galaxy S III. It will also come up with the some cosmetic changes to its user interface.
The Jelly Bean update is to bring an improved and more responsive user interface along with Android's very own integrated voice recognition engine. New notifications bar, two home screen modes, and a reorganized settings menu for easily working the complex settings will also be included. Earlier the update was to be rolled out in November this year but due to unexpected changes in strategy it has been made available in the UK. The actual availability in other countries might differ.
Couple of days back video showing Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean was leaked which showed hints of cosmetic changes such as a redesigned login screen and expanded Notifications but Samsung's own Nature UX is likely to remain unchanged.

Samsung launches Galaxy SIII 32 GB in India

Samsung has announced the 32 GB version of the Smartphone after the launch of 16 GB version of the Samsung Galaxy SIII back in the month of May. Users can get this 32 GB version of the Galaxy SIII through Samsung’s online store and it will be available in India soon for Rs 41,500, which is almost Rs 2,000 cheaper than the launch price of the 16 GB version of Samsung Galaxy SIII. Right now Samsung Galaxy SIII 16 GB version is available for around Rs 37,000 in market. Similar set of features of are available in both 32 GB and 16 GB. 16 GB version has 4.8-inch, 1280 x 720 pixel resolution HD Super Amoled display that has PenTile pixel arrangement (two sub pixels per pixel) and has about 306 pixels per inch pixel density. S Beam technology is used that blisters fast transfer speeds allowing users to share a 1 GB movie file in less than three minutes.

Samsung Galaxy SIII meltdown: Case solved

It has been reported that Samsung's flagship device Galaxy SIII caught fire when the user had kept the phone in his car few weeks’ back. The result of investigation done by Samsung was that Smartphone caught fire not because of any malfunction in the Smartphone which caused the heat but due to exposure of the device to heating in Microwave oven.
The official blog of Samsung, The Samsung Tomorrow cites a report from Fire Investigations UK finding stated that the phone itself was not responsible for generating the heat caused the damage. The user of the phone admitted that Smartphone was inappropriately handled when it got wet accidently. To dry up the wet Galaxy SIII he had placed the device in Microwave in an attempt to catalyze the drying process. Earlier the user claimed that while he was travelling the car some part of the Samsung Galaxy SIII had started melting on its own.
