According the Sina Wiebo, a micro blogging website based in China, "Lenovo, PC giant is all ready to join the 5 inch Smartphone club with a new Android Smartphone". However no formal word has been issued in this regard. As stated by the website, “The unknown Lenovo Smartphone runs a customized version of Android operating system and has 1080p pixels bearing display".
Device Specification:
• Dual SIM connectivity with one WCDMA/GSM capable SIM slot
• Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor

In the meantime, Engadget quoting its sources stated that the 5 inch Lenovo Smartphone has already entered the DVT phase which means that it is already in testing and it won't be long before the device is finalized and sent out for the masses.
Device makers are on a fling to unveil Smartphone’s with 5 inch display. In the beginning of this year, we witnessed the unveil of Sharp Aquos SH930W the first ever 5 inch display based Android Smartphone featuring a full 1080p resolution in such a small size. Following that HTC declared the HTC DNA with similar display related specification and a real 1080p display.

LG is not in any mood to compromise when it comes to its mobile Smartphone’s. First the company unveiled the LG Optimus Vu which is a 5 inch giant competing directly with Samsung’s Galaxy Note. Now they are going to target Apple.  LG is now going to launch the Cupertino giant with 5 inch Full HD LCD panel and screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 resulting in 440ppi (Pixel-per-inch). This 440ppi (Pixel-per-inch) is 72 percent more than that of the Optimus Vu. It features 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio which has 0.5 inches larger panel, 2.2 times denser in pixels, and 1.3 times more advanced in ppi than the preceding 4.5" panel at 329ppi and 1280x720. The panel used is a variant of IPS known as Advanced High Performance In-Plane Switching (AH-IPS) which includes wide viewing angles, fast response times and improves brightness efficiency. The 5 inch full HD LCD panel is expected to be roll out in the second half of 2012.
