Google partnered with local carrier Reliance to gain some traction of the Android OS in India. The person who will purchase Android Smartphone will be given 1GB of data on the Reliance 3G network for one month. This will be promoted by both companies on TV and on major Indian websites. All 13 3G zones of Reliance which includes including Delhi, West Bengal, Mumbai, Himachal Pradesh, Kolkata, Bihar, Orissa, Rajasthan, Assam, Madhya Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir will be participating in the mobile data giveaway. This is the first step taken by Google to make the Android platform and OS secure popular in India. Lets hope next time Google will offer some sweet deal to promote 4G Android Devices.
