Nokia Drive

Nokia Drive is a feature of Nokia Smartphones that suggests turn-by-turn voice navigation with in-car user interface. The added advantage is that you don’t need to have a working internet connection at the time of driving because you can download the maps before starting your journey. This saves data costs and prevents the risk of non-availability of internet connection while driving. Other great features include tracking your location, speed, and distance driven, and getting warnings when exceed cross the speed limit. It is currently available for Nokia Lumia Phones.

Google Translate for Android now translates images too

Ever been in a foreign country with no idea what a sign says? According to the latest reports Google Translate now lets you snap a picture of it, and then translate the text. With the help of this app users doesn’t need to enter in the text to translate manually .This is the most time saver app.
The app is based on Android versions 2.3 and up, and allows users to select exactly what users would like to be translated. This app is very convenient if there is a large amount of text on the page, or more than one language in the image. To use this feature users have to specify which language they want to translate and not all 64 languages supported by Google Translate can use the new camera translate feature. if you move out of the camera translate interface, it doesn’t retain the image you just took and users have to start once again . Let’s hope that this will be fixed in the next patch. Either way, it had no problems with translating the Polish language description on our Intel processor box. Google Translate for Android is available in the Play Store

Siri’s in for some Google competition on iOS, Voice Search coming soon

Google is on track to renew its Search app on iOS and improve the voice search by adding Google Now-flavored recognition. Yet there is no further specification available but it will be coming soon.
It would be very easy to interpret natural speech through Google Voice Search and can even give you spoken replies at times. With the help of this app users can check weather, cinema schedules and more. It will give a direct competition to Siri on iOS but it won’t be able to launch apps or work with the built-in navigation in iOS 6.
Google is coming up with its Knowledge Graph outside of the US to the entire English-speaking world. Knowledge Graph includes more than 500 million people, places and things with more than 3.5 billion connections between them. It has the ability to provide users with location-specific answers to online queries, for instance if you search for “chiefs” in Australia you’ll get the Aussie rugby team complete with scores, players and history.
