Hackers find out newer ways to attack smartphones

Even after Google's tall claims of security, hackers have now showcased new ways to attack Android devices. Android is rated as one of the most popular mobile operating systems across the globe. According to the research it will account for almost half of the worldwide Smartphone sales by the end of 2012. At Black Hat hacking conference in Las Vegas that included 6,500 corporate and government security technology workers, experts have showcased their skills to hack Android devices. The main motive of this conference is to learn about emerging threats and Smartphone’s being the most popular thing today gained a lot of interest from hackers.
For the Android operating system Google has been relatively slow in the employment of security measure.  Only Android has been in news related to security. It has been stated by Sean Schulte of Trustwave's SpiderLabs that Google is making progress, but the authors of malicious software are moving forward.
Earlier this year Google had employed the Bouncer security system for the monitoring of Android applications but even after the employment of the system, few fake applications including malicious software were found on the Android marketplace. Employees of Trustwave told the attendees about the method to avoid Google bouncer during the conference.
Android has turned in to a breeding ground for threats coming from hackers and virus makers who tend to benefit from the popularity of Android due to the increase in the popularity and adoption by a significant number of users globally,
There are many reasons that are several reasons that can be attributed towards the popularity of this operating system but for the customers there are only two main things that affect the overall buying decision.
• Android being open source, device manufacturers have to pay a fraction of the cost of what they pay to other OS providers, thereby reducing the cost of devices.
• Most important, the number of applications and functionalists Android brings makes a huge impact in buyer minds.
Although Google might be slow on security they have been able to create a globally popular mobile operating system which now powers more than 50 per cent of the device and naturally hackers will be attracted towards it. Uses also need to stay alert and smart at all times and not falling for something that seems fishy..

Te launch plan of Funbook Pro is just round the corner but the price is not yet revealed. The price is expected to be below Rs 10,000.
Smart move has been taken by Micromax, since 7 inch tablet market is going to face a lot of heat as and when the Google Nexus 7 tablet is launched, given that it is a Quad core high end tablet priced at the doorstep of entry level tablets at $200 (Rs 11,000).
In that scenario Micromax will have maneuvering space in bigger size segment with little lesser price pressure. 7 inch market has already become over crowded while only high end products are available in the 10 inch segment with price range of Rs 25,000 or above.
