Airtel to launch 4G services in Delhi, Mumbai by Dec

According to the latest reports Airtel has recently bought a stake in Qualcomm's BWA (Broadband Wireless Access) business. It has been reported that Airtel will roll out 4G services in Delhi and Mumbai by the end of this year. 4G services have already been launched by the operator in Kolkata and Karnataka circles by using TD LTE technology. Soon the service will be launched in Delhi and Mumbai. Both these circles are very vital as compared to the other circles because of very high density of mobile data subscribers, and also very high average revenue per user. Airtel has partnered with Qualcomm to roll out 4G services in Delhi, Mumbai, Haryana and Kerala. It has been reported that both the companies are busy sorting out launch plans, and also working with the Ministry of Communication to sort out legal requirements for starting the service.
The agreement has been signed between Qualcomm and Bharti Airtel under which it authorised the teleco to operate its 4G services in the four circles till 2014, when Bharti plans to take full control of the BWA arm of Qualcomm. 49 per cent stake in Qualcomm's broadband wireless access venture has been purchased by Bharti. The deal also includes Bharti buying a 26 per cent stake equally held by Global Holding Corporation and Tulip Telecom, apart from subscribing to fresh equity. Bharti already has BWA licenses in four circles - Kolkata, Karnataka, Punjab and Maharashtra - and 3G licenses in thirteen circles in India.
In india only Reliance Industries (RIL) have a pan India license to operate 4G services. The company is likely to be launch its services in a few circles by Diwali, and will expand it to all the major circles by the end of 2012. It is also xpected that RIL will launch its services in Delhi and Mumbai in the first phase of the launch.

Google I/O: Stream media from the cloud via Google Nexus Q

Nexus Q has been announced by Google. This is the Google's first consumer electronics product. It is a small, sphere device that is compatible with Android device to stream media from the cloud. You can content from your YouTube and the Google Play music app and more. You will be able control the Nexus Q to play content from your library if you have your own Android Device.
You can use it as an amplifier as it lets you plug in external speakers to receive power from it's 25-watt amp. This device runs on the OMAP 4460 processor with 16GB of storage and 1GB of RAM dual-band and also features Wi-Fi, Ethernet, Bluetooth and NFC for tapping a device to the Q to exchange software and media. It will be available in mid July for $299. Google will also sell a set of $399 Triad bookshelf speakers to go with the device.

Nokia has declared that the Windows Phone Tango updates for the Lumia 710 and the Lumia 800 are rolling out live for consumers. Users of these devices have been waiting for the new update for some time now. Finally they can get their hands on the new update.

You can install new applications which are available in the Windows Phone Marketplace (Camera Extras, Counters, Contact share, and more) after updating your Nokia Lumia 800 or Nokia Lumia 710 available in the Windows Phone Marketplace (Camera Extras, Counters, Contact share, and more).

You can send and receive business cards via SMS through new Contact share app. Users can broadcast photos, music, and videos wirelessly to other DLNA capable devices connected to the same network such as TVs, Blu-ray players, and Music Systems with Microsoft Windows Media Player for Windows 7 with the help of Play To app. Plug in your Lumia device to the Zune PC software and start updating.

Micromax may launch dual core smartphones

Micromax is expected to use a dual core platform MT6577 in future Smartphone’s priced less than Rs 10,000. MediaTek, a leading fabless semiconductor company for wireless communications and digital multimedia solutions has made the MT6577 chipset. It has been stated by Micromax spokesperson that MediaTek has just unveiled MT6577, a dual core platform which they will be evaluating it in the coming months for their use as Smartphone’s in future.

Aakash 2 launched at IIT-B with improved specs

It has been long time since we heard anything on a probable successor to Aakash, the cheapest Android tablet in the world. Now in association with the IIT Bombay which was handed over the charge of developing the successor to the Aakash, the Ministry for Human Resource & Development has declared the launch of the new enhanced version of Aakash, called the Aakash 2.
At the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay the Aakash 2 was launched at a teacher's training workshop. This was viewed by more than 9,000 college teachers all over the country through video conferencing. Earlier the project of Aakash 2 was handed over to the IIT Jodhpur but as the development ran into rough weather it was alter handed over to the IIT Bombay.
